Hi, I'm Ava

I am a project manager. A parent. An expat living in Toronto, Canada.

A few years back I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term contract gradually opened a new chapter of life overseas.

How It Began

Moving to Canada wasn’t in the grand plan. Like many relocation stories, it started with a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more significant.

The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, new expectations. Routine tasks felt more complicated than they needed to be.

The Adjustment Period

There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning on the fly. Yet gradually, routines took shape. We found places that fit us, connected with other families, and began building something that felt steady.

Why I Built TidalGrovePath

Most information online was either corporate relocation guidance or surface tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.

This site exists to bridge that gap — practical advice drawn from real life in Canada.

What This Site Does (And Does Not)

This site is:

  • Hands-on experience from living in Canada
  • Centered on family life and daily realities
  • Updated when a genuine change occurs

This site isn't:

  • A tourism-board resource
  • A sponsored review platform
  • A generic travel blog

Looking Ahead

Our stay in Canada continues, and the learning process goes on. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll keep documenting what we discover.

If you have questions about family life in Toronto or anywhere in Canada, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Best regards,

Ava
